Wanted to know: When apply to us schools say for the 2007 entering year, do I have to write the mcat in april of 2006 or is it possible to write it in aug 06?? In ON, it is possible to apply having written the mcat in august, we simply release the scores to the app service once they become availbe in october - its just that we take a chance by applying without knowing what our mcat scores are. Is this how it works in the us too?

yes but your application is not complete until the scores are in= no invites for a long time.
the scores are released automatically by amcas
