With bad sales it's not worth to focus on saturated markets, unless you're Dell and can make a good PDA for a lot less than your competitors.

Clie's were very good PDAs, but always on the expensive side, unfortunately.

Is palmSource going to be able to handle losing one of it's larger Palm OS clients? Will Pocket PC become the preferred PDA OS now?

I don't think Pocket PC is going to prevail for the time being. This week my Dell PDA was stolen, and I shopped for a new one. I was trying to get one with Bluetooth, Wi-fi and PalmOS, but ended up getting a Pocket PC, the new Dell one. The price is just unbeatable for a device with BT and Wi-Fi.

In the long-run, MS might prevail, they may start to make it more difficult for the non Pocket PC platforms to connect/sync with Windows. That is how they conquered a lot of other markets.... :-(
