Deciding Between Schools - can current students weigh in on UConn and MCW?

I was just hoping that a few people could tell me why they chose MCW or UConn over their other acceptances. As far as I can tell, the only difference for me is the location. Both schools have very nice staff and students, the cost is not a concern and the programs are nearly equivalent.

I've lived in CT my whole life, so I think it might be nice to live somewhere new, but on the other hand it might be worthwhile to have my family nearby just in case.

Also, any information about board scores or match rates might help.

UConn just got left out of the ACC...which is funny. So don't go there for that reason (unless of course you're interested in a UConn-Tulane matchup).

On a more serious note, I can't speak to either of the schools, but I went far away for undergrad and it was the best decision I ever made. All else being equal ($$), try something new! Just my two cents.

I am IS for UConn, but the cost for both schools appears to be similar at around 60k/yr. So with that in mind, I'm not really concerned about the cost.

For those of you that responded with UConn, could you tell me why you'd pick UConn over MCW (or any other school?) Is there something special about it that you really liked?

Also, what is the ACC?

ACC = allopathic community care... So you should give up your acceptance there. I definitely won't take it.

UConn right now. I can understand the urge to go somewhere new, but so you really want to go to the dairy state? Anyways, you can always move somewhere new for your residency. I would stay close to home.

If you're counting tuition alone, then yeah it's cheaper by 15k. But please consider that I would prefer not to be homeless.
