Hello all,
I've recently discovered this site and forum via my current stress of grad school decision making and I thought I'd ask for some input from those who have some experience or knowledge.
I am trying to narrow down my choices of where to apply, but I would like to be realistic with my applications. I also do not want to sell myself short.
stats:
University of California, Irvine
major: Psychology & Social behavior; public health minor
GPA: 3.65
Experience: 3 years working for the Health education Center, 1 year as a peer health educator, Global health ambassador for Bali institute for global renewal (grant writing for NGO in Indonesia) + one upcoming internship. also have 10 years experience with financial institutions (obviously not related)
I'll be taking the GREs in about one month.
I'm planning to apply to UCLA, berkeley, University of Washington, USC, Loma Linda, SDSU and CSUF. Some are top on my list, some are back ups.
I'm looking at the social behavior or community health programs at each school.
Is this a decent list, should I cut any? Add any? Are my stats decent enough for these schools?
You'll probably see more questions from me soon.
Thanks in advance.
