ok.... list where you declined acceptances from (obviously post-interview) with the approx. date of when you withdrew. If there is already a post about this, just tell me how stupid I am and ignore this post. These are ACCEPTANCES only!

Baylor, all I've got to say is that you are AMAZING! Really man, congratulations on being such a sought after applicant. (I'm green with envy. :D )

Still holding one acceptance and waiting to hear back from another...

Creighton (1/17, 1/31)

I just wanted to say thank you for deciding before you had to and withdrawing from schools so others would have a chance. You are very nice people!

Baylor 21...I thought Pitt was supposed to send acceptances at the end of February/early March? How did Pitt notify you? Congrats!

I withdrew from...

Tufts (beginning of January)

And I will be withdrawing from Rochester shortly...

mma

Good work Baylor21! Very considerate. It's pointless holding on to them. I had narrowed my list down pre-interview, so I went on only 4 of 8 interviews I was offered. I declined only 1 offer, and I did so as soon as it was made (Jan 22). University of Chicago; but they told me that if I change my mind, that I'm still game. I'm hanging on to the other 2 till at least mid April. This is despite the fact that I'm pretty much decided already. More thorough than selfish though.

Post-acceptance withdrawals from:

Indiana (12/23)
St. Louis (1/22)
Creighton (1/22)
South Dakota (1/28)

Those are the dates I received the acceptance letters. I don't remember the exact dates that I sent withdrawal letters, but they were all within 2 weeks of receiving the acceptance.

Adding just one:

EVMS (12/20, 1/15)

thanks for the props guys/gals, though i really dont deserve any accolades.

Furious, right now I'm going to go to WashU, although taht might change if I get accepted to Yale or Penn, or if I get full funding at Hopkins (I was accepted MD/PhD, but with no funding yet).

Bruno,

I dont think Pitt has sent out the regular MD acceptances yet. RNAgirl and I have gotten MD/PhD acceptances to Pitt recently (within the last 2 weeks)

I will be sending post-acceptance withdrawls to NYU and Einstein tonight - hope that helps someone who deserves it... :)

Don't you wish you could just take one of these vacancies? I'd love to have some of these left-overs. Oh well, I know I'm headed to a good place.

hell yeah I'd take some of these...

it looks like the really top schools are not being released yet. and this whole game is like the trickle down theory, once those schools get released, they can offer spots to other people and those people can give up other spots, etc. or atleast thats what I'm hoping for!

Top
