About 1 month ago I bought a Tungsten E2 to use for work(I am a resident). Recently, I was given a Dell Axim X50 as a present. I only use my palm for medical programs but not for MP3 or wireless, etc. Which of these two devices is the better? My tungsten is all set up the way I like it and I am kinda too lazy to do it all over again but if the Dell is just too superb to pass up then I will use it. Any comments or suggestions?

If you like the E2 and it does everything you want, I see no reason to switch to something else. Especially if you're not interested in wireless.

I'd be very interested in buying the Dell from you. PM me.

If you're up for experimenting, there's certainly no harm in trying out the Pocket PC to see if you like it better. Personally, I feel the way you do...my Palm device is set up just the way I like it, and I have no reason to switch platforms. If somebody gave me a Dell, I'd sell it on eBay. 🙂

I spoke with a guy in my class who had a palm and switched to dell axim and now wants to go back to palm (T/X to be exact). although he gets a lot of use out of the dell he says that the simplicity/usability of the palm simply can't be beat (syncing is much easier with the palm and documents to go is much better than ppc word, etc per this guy), not to mention all the freeware that's available for the platform (I know ppc is starting to catch up and you can use some kind of program to use palm stuff on the ppc but there's still skyscape stuff that won't work on ppc).

anyway, if you like the palm and don't care about internal wifi (you can always buy the card for the E2) then I'd say stick with it based on my classmate's experience.

I dont see a difference b/n the two if you're only using them for medical apps. I like palm better b/c of the amt of freeware available for it.
