Navy HPSP here. Curious if the military has expanded to include the dental anesthesia specialty yet? Very interested.

The Navy has a hard enough time retaining its regular specialists let alone pay them fairly. There is no foreseeable future of dental anesthesiology (at least in 2021) being added when they cut 4 year retention bonuses to gen den, endo, peds, ortho etc. Only Comp den, OS, and prost seem to be holding out. Also OS and nurse anesthetists/anesthesiologists fill the need when at sea.
