Can I get some advice on Dental Electives in the States. I am actually a US citizen studying Dentistry at an International school, in my second year. 3rd year starts in November, and after 3rd year I will be taking the part 1 NBDE and also looking for an elective. How do dental electives work? is it the same as medical electives? as in a specific speciality? Lets say I want to do an elective in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, how do I go about this? Most important, is this even possible?
