dentist interested in practicing in australia/new zealand

I'm a dentist in NYC. I'm interested in working in Australia/New Zealand short term(2 years).Are there any programs/incentives available by Australian/New Zealand governments for foreign dentists?.any contact info?Any info would be appreciated.

Yeah I agree that you should contact the Au and NZ dental councils for advice. Basically, there "may" be a few public clinics you can work in without having to sit any exams. However this will mean you will most likely be working in an "area of need" and not getting paid more than 65-70k.

If you're interested in working in private practice (ie. $100k+++), then you will probably have to sit the ADC examinations in order to be eligible to obtain a state dental license.

thanks! I've heard about practicing in "rural need areas", which I'm interested in. I've also heard about such programs/schemes providing housing as well. Any thoughts?
