I have a general q...
If you cut your gums and require stitches, does a general dentist perform this, or a specialist? Also, what other procedures are needed on someone that has punctured gums? just a random q for those in dental school...or those who know...
thanks

A general dentist can do it if he feels it's within his capabilities.. Otherwise you can go to a periodontist too, or even an oral surgeon if you feel paranoid enough. :D

How did the gum get punctured?
