I was just talking to someone about dentistry and they tell me that a cleaning/dental visit here (NC) costs 115$. He saids he could have gotten the cleaning in California for 25$.

Is the competition in California and other states that intense or is North Carolina just a great place to practice dentistry?

What happens if licensure in NC gets easier, does that mean cleanings will cost 25$ here too?

every location is different... and there are "come-ons" to get people in, and clinics... like my hospital, charge for a dental visit is $20 in the clinic... but limited types of patients treated. You need more details why it was $25.... there are lists of fees as posted before
