I'm just wondering... what are some advantaged to being a medical doctor over being a dentist? Disadvantages? Anything besides being a MD would probably be more interesting...?

Almost everyone I have talked to have told me that a dentists salary is very comparable to a medical doctor's salary and dentists work a lot less and have a better lifestyle- which doesnt explain why the suicide rate of dentists is supposedly the highest of all occupations.

I think you'd really have to be interested in teeth!! I have a friend in Dental School....she's AMAZING...doing well at UConn....but she likes teeth. She just simply thinks they're great. I suppose that would be a very important, if not the MOST IMPORTANT factor. But you're right...it would definitely be a very good profession to go into....
