Deposit and Waitlist?!

So, what happens if I am accepted off of a waitlist and decide to go to that school (after May 15th deadline)? Do I lose my deposit at the school that I am holding a space at? Is there any room for negotiation? Does anyone know how this works? 😕

if you are accepted and decide to go off the waitlist, you will lose your deposit. but what's a 100 dollars when you just got in to the school you really wanted to go to!

THAT SUCKS!! I don't know about you, but I really don't have 100 bucks to just throw away. Enough money has gone into the application process. Oh well, thanks for that information!

It depends on the school. Call the school and ask when your deposit is refundable until. First check to see if that information is in the letter that asked for the deposit.
