Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, has an opening for a two year
clinical research fellow beginning July 2013 under the direction of
Alan Menter, MD, an internationally recognized clinician and
researcher. The fellowship is designed for physicians who have
completed an internship by 6/30/13 or earlier and are eligible to be a
licensed physician. Applicants must have completed USMLE Step 3, in
order to secure a Texas license prior to starting the fellowship.

The clinical research fellow will have the opportunity to participate
in a large research center. The fellowship involves multiple Phase I-IV clinical research trials for
psoriasis, as well as other conditions such as atopic dermatitis and SCLE. The fellow would be expected to publish and present at local and national meetings as well as attend research and investigator meetings. In addition, the fellow can participate in general dermatology clinics, with opportunity to attend Baylor medical grand rounds, kodachrome conference, journal club, dermatopathology conference, Dallas Dermatology Society meetings, and present cases at twice monthly Baylor Tumor Board meetings.

The pay and benefits are competitive with similar Dermatology Fellowships.

Completing the Fellowship will not guarantee acceptance to any
Dermatology residency program but the entire experience is geared
towards enhancing this possibility. Many have matched previously into a residency program.
