We are again seeking applicants for a one to two year (2 years preferred but not mandatory) Dermatology Clinical Research Fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center which will begin in August, 2011. The fellow will work with Julian Mackay-Wiggan, M.D., M.S., the Director of the Clinical Research Unit. The fellow will participate in clinical research on various skin diseases including but not limited to skin cancer and alopecias (hair loss). Fellows will also have the opportunity, when appropriate, to observe or participate in general dermatologic care of patients via the dermatology resident clinic. Fellows are encouraged to present posters or oral presentations at National meetings.

Requirements include:
Demonstrated interested in Dermatology
MD Degree and completed internship
CV and at least 2 letters of recommendation
Scores from the USMLE Steps 1 and 2
Must take USMLE Step 3 (required to obtain New York State Medical License, which must be obtained ASAP)
New York State Medical License to be obtained ASAP.

Please note: Completion of 3 years of an ACGME approved residency is a prerequisite for foreign medical graduates to obtain a NYS medical license, which is a requirement for the fellowship.
