Prerequisites: As this is a clinical research fellowship, you must have an MD degree, be eligible for a full Texas license (licensure not required) and have completed medical school in the United States and an internship in an ACGME-approved training program in the United States. DO degree is not accepted for the fellowship.

Description: A full-time paid position will be available starting July 1, 2019, as a clinical research fellow with Adelaide A. Hebert, MD at the UTHealth McGovern Medical School in Houston, Department of Dermatology. This fellowship allows extensive immersion into clinical research (14 active trials, with more to additional studies pending) and strong instruction as to the administration of such projects. As Dr. Hebert is a board-certified in dermatology and pediatric dermatology, many of the trials are pediatric-focused. Clinical trials encompass both pharmaceutical and investigator initiated trials. Interdisciplinary trials with pediatrics, pediatric neurology and neurology also constitute part of the fellowship experience.

As a unique defining feature of this fellowship, the clinical research fellow will also have the opportunity to assist Dr. Hebert in her clinics and to round with her on the inpatient consult service. The fellow may also attend, as time allows, daily resident teaching conferences (dermatopathology, kodachrome, Grand Rounds, textbook, dermatology- rheumatology, etc.) and will have extensive interactions with the dermatology faculty and residents at both of the Houston Dermatology residency programs (University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and Baylor). This fellowship offers a strong teaching component in both clinical research and dermatology.

This is an accredited clinical research fellowship through the Texas Medical Board. You must have an MD degree, be eligible for a full Texas license (licensure not required) and have completed medical school in the United States and an internship in an ACGME-approved training program in the United States.
