Dermatology Research Fellowship Opening - Wake Forest University School of Medicine

The Center for Dermatology Research at Wake Forest University has an opening for a 1+ year clinical dermatology research fellowship position beginning July 2011! This fellowship is ideal for recent medical school graduates who have completed at least 1 year of residency training and are interested in pursuing a career in dermatology.

The overall goal of the fellowship is to work towards a better understanding of various skin diseases and the best treatment options for each. The fellow will be involved in clinical trials on multiple diseases including, but not limited to, acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and skin cancer. The fellow will also be involved in examining trends in the treatment of skin diseases using databases such as NAMCS, PubMed, Medicare/Medicaid and PharMetrics. Fellows typically present this work at various meetings throughout the year, including the American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting. Additionally, fellows consistently work in the clinical setting and attend lectures to broaden their dermatology knowledge and skills. This fellowship is under the guidance of Dr. Steve Feldman, however fellows participate in the clinical and research setting in conjunction with multiple faculty in the department.

Interested applicants should email an updated CV with board scores to Dr. Steve Feldman ([email protected]). Please call/email Rachel Starling if you have any questions ([email protected]), (336) 716-6180.

Thank you for your interest in our program!
