Destroyer 2012 Orgo #182, pg 48, what is Alc KOH??

I recognize that due to heat, there will be an elimination, but what is Alc KOH? I thought it was bulky base or something so I put less substituted double bond.

Does it mean dissolved in alcohol???

Yes. Alcohol is a solvent, KOH is a strong base, but not bulky base. This will make more substituted double bond.
