The question states, "In water, which of the following is the weakest base?"
a) HClO4
b)NH3
C)NH2-
D)OH-
E)ClO4-
I choose A because it is a strong acid, but the answer says it is a strong mineral acid so A is wrong. ??? The answer is E. I understand that E is a weak conjugate base, but my question is why strong mineral acid does not count as a strong acid for this particular question. Wierd.
Thank you for the help.
