My sister in law had control of the remote control today and forced me to watch a dating story on TLC.

Interestingly enough, the episode featured a third year girl from PCOM going on a date with some guy. I think her name was Brit, or something like that.

Anyone from PCOM know if they're still together? She was cute! 😀

She was a MS-III, I believe, and told her boyfriend that she was going out for her jog thru the park. She never came back and they found her body a week later in a remote area of the park under some bushes. I think she was strangled and they aren't sure is she was sexually assaulted yet.

They don't know if it was a random attack or intentional. She had a normal route she took thru the park that she lived by so it is hard to say if she was being stalked or anything. The most horrible thing is that the reason they found the body was some lady saw the news report on tv saying that the student was missing and then this woman finally called to tell authorities that she had heard a scream in a certain area of the park on that Sunday that the girl went missing.

Can you believe that? Some one heard a woman screaming and said nothing and did nothing.

CBS had the new coverage of it.

Glad i didn't rank any Philadelphia residencies. Its scary there, man... worse than DC where I grew up. I spent a month for an EM elective and was scared out of my skivvies.

I read about the story of the slained and raped victim in the L.A. Times. I think her name was Rebecca Parker. Not sure about the first name, but pretty sure about the last name. I think we should have a moment of silence for our fallen conrad. Thanks

Her name was Rebecca Park, and she was an MS-IV - also an officer in the military. There is a memorial service for her at 2 pm this Friday at PCOm in one of the auditoriums.

There is a sketch of the suspect that has been posted around. The suspect is also wanted in regards to a rape that occurred in the same area.

I really hope they catch this guy.

Forced you? My guess is that you don't even have a sister-in-law and you just made all that up rather than admit you watch the dating story show...
