I turned in my application in mid September (Sep 20th ish), but haven't heard back anything from any schools yet. I know it has not been long since my submission, but I am getting nervous about it and want to know if I should start to prepare for the next cycle if I don't get in.

The major reason for late submission is my MCAT retake.

Do I still have a chance in this cycle despite the late submission? Or did I make a bad mistake of applying late, and I would be better off waiting for a cycle? Should I start to prep for next cycle assuming I will not get accepted this cycle?

Thank you for your reply!

Where did you apply? How many schools? Your app looks solid and if you don't have any red flags (that you know of), I am not sure why you have not gotten invites. Always a good idea to prepare for reapplication.

Yes you have a shot. You likely did some damage by applying super late, but assuming you applied to a range of schools you’ll likely start getting invites soon
