did the MCAT people mess up your name, too?

my maiden name is my middle name, yet somehow they put it as my last name! as in my legal name is Doe, Jane, yet on their list they had Smith Doe, Jane. AND they spelled my maiden name wrong! how the heck did this happen, since i would never fill out any application form with the wrong information!!! i'm really hoping that doesn't become a problem when AMCAS tries to find my MCAT scores. grrrr. of course they said it was no big deal....

I doubt it will matter, I imagine they reference by SSN or something. Did you try contacting AAMC? Maybe they can fix it before scores are out?

I would think AMCAS could correct that. Have you tried calling them?

I can sympathize. My middle name is a common name but with an uncommon spelling and I can always count on someone screwing it up.

I kept my maiden name even though I'm married.
Changing your name is a pain in the oyster.
I would call the AAMC and see what you should do.

yes, they spelled my first name differently.
i called them up and they just changed it for me~
