I am thinking of sending thank you letter/gift to my references around the Christiams time even if I do not get in dental school. Do you think it is a good idea to do it? The reason that I want to do it before I get accepted is to make sure they will write a better reference next time if I don't get in this cycle. Should I send before or after acceptance?

What do you think? Thanks!

I sent thank you notes to all my professors and dentist who wrote me letters of recommendation right after they wrote them and submitted them to the health professions committee at my university. I think it is definitely a good gesture and then when you get in, write another note to let them know!
