Difference Between 'Credit Hours' and 'Credit Hours Earned'?

On my AMCAS application, in the 'credit hours' text box, I put whatever was shown on my transcript, and the transcript showed that each course had 3 units (this is a Canadian university's transcript).

I've received the NYMC secondary application, and it's asking for credit hours earned, and I am just wondering if that will be the same thing as what AMCAS was asking for. I.e., should I put the number 3 in the credit hours earned text box?
