I'm like completely highway illiterate, can someone give me the directions on how to get from UCLA to UC Irvine?

what are my options, only car? if so, can you please give me detailed instructions? 😀

Car is your only option as far as I'm concerned. Since you got to UCLA, I'd presume you know how to get to the 405. Take the 405 South for about 40-50 miles, get off at Jamboree and make a right. Make a left on Campus. Make a right on Bridge and the medical school will be on your right.

Oh yeah, and they're called freeways out here. I guess that's because you spend most of your free time on them.

Driving is probably the easiest way to get around Southern California. I grew up there and have never taken public transportation...never seen a Greyhound station either...

If you're driving to Irvine from LA, remember to give yourself extra time if you need to be there by a certain time. On a good traffic day, it takes about 45 minutes, but on a bad day it can take up to 2 hours (i.e. during Friday rush hour traffic). There is usually some traffic from UCLA to LAX on 405 South.

Watcha - I think you have already been warned, but be sure to give yourself lots of time to get to UCI. It takes me anywhere from 1-3.5 hr. to get from the UCLA campus to orange county 😡 Good luck!

Yes, I did, and it was going to cost almost as much as Amtrak, take twice as long, and involve a bus change!! 🙄 So guess which I'm going with! 😀
