Hello,
I took my DAT 8-25-03
Bio: 21
G Chem: 23
O Chem :21
PAT: 18
Reading :18
QR: 19
GPA: 3.62

I'm still working on my personal statement. I'm really worry becuase I'm applying so late. Does it really matter? How are my chances?

Thanks

It's not too late... If you submit your stuff today, you would be in "the middle of the pack." Those who wait and submit their stuff say in October are late.

Especially with your GPA, your chances would still be quite good at a number of schools. Apply to the state-funded schools in your state of residence because most of them do give priority to in-state residents (though in your case UCLA and UCSF are both very very competitive... But worth a shot anyway since you are a CA resident), and add a few out-of-state private schools to your app too.

You should get in somewhere.

JUST DO IT! 😛

I am in a similar situation. I already turned in my application, but still waiting to be processed. How long will it take before something will be mailed to me?

I'll answer the question directly: the disadvantage of applying late is that some seats in the classes are already taken. It is as simple as that.

That certainly can be overcome, but who knows how it might hinder your application.
