It is not likely to make a difference. It is not likely that anyone will remember your previous application(s) and be surprised that you have changed your mind about how hard you had it as a child.
 
thanks, but does disadvantage status change anything about admission? I know I had pretty tough childhood but I am 28 now, :rolleyes:
 
It's not how old you are now but what the circumstances were from birth up through high school. The point is to identify people who were, perhaps, ill prepared for college or who did not go directly to college for lack of money, role models (perhaps parents never attended college or were absent or mentally ill),or poor HS preparation in substandard schools (either rural or inner-city/ghetto).
