Where is a good resource to learn about the role of EM docs in disaster relief?

How does one get involved and what is the time frame for relief? Clearly the people of Haiti will take many years to recover from this earthquake, and it will require cooperation from governemnts and organizations, but what is the role of physicians in the next days, weeks and months?

Just curious to see what people think and if we have learned anything from the Tsunamai of 2004 or Hurricaine Katrina.

MSF (Doctors Without Borders) sends a lot of physicians to disaster areas. In order to be a part of their emergency response team, you'll have to spend a year or two on assignment for regular international work. Then you can transition to the response team.

It's my understanding that several hospitals in Haiti have been totally devastated, including the major hospital there.
