Can anyone explain why there are huge discrepancies between the list of unfilled programs and the regional statistics.
For example, there are 33 pathology programs listed as unfilled in SOAP but the regional statistics data in "my reports" indicate there are 55 unfilled programs.
Is it because 22 programs are not participating in SOAP, or are there other reasons?
The discrepancies occur throughout virtually every specialty. e.g 21/149 for family medicine, etc. Is it possible that 128 family medicine programs are not participating in SOAP??!!
