What is a discrepancy that would cause concern to adcoms? Would a 3.8cgpa 3.9 sGPA and a 30-32 MCAT hurt my application?

I'll bite on the chance this was a legit question. No that difference will not hurt you in the least. If it was a 3.8 and a 24, then yes that's a problem. Otherwise you're just fine. You'll just have to be intentional with which schools you apply to with an MCAT in that range. Your GPA is competitive at the upper tier schools, but the MCAT is not, so shoot for low-mid tier MD. Hope that helps.

We get this question fairly often on SDN. In general, it's only a problem if one of the stats is really bad. In your case, your GPA is Harvard caliber, but your MCAT score is more representative of a matriculant at a state school or a low-yield private school like the Philadelphia triplets. If you get a 31, put the bulk of your apps at programs with a 30-33 average, since your GPA is better than most.

    4.0/22 is bad
    3.0/40 is bad
    3.8/31 is perfectly fine
