Hey guys,
One of my hobbies is reading the classic texts in the humanities. It started when I took a humanities class in college and continued to grow as I took more courses for the humanities major. I also pursued this interest in my extracurriculars by presenting my papers at conferences and taking leadership positions in humanities organizations at my college. Even after graduating from college, I continue to read, discuss, and otherwise engage with texts in the humanities. In the diversity essay, I'd write about how the skills I developed in reasoning and critical thinking gives me a unique perspective, the insight I gained into the human condition, etc.
Would this be a good topic for a diversity essay? I do mention some of these activities in my primary app, but this essay would help to tie everything together.
