I'm curious about the MS ortho and DNB ortho designations. I'm assuming they are additional years of specialty training. But, what does "DNB" stand for? I was looking at the web site of a doctor in India who does knee replacements and he had both MS and DNB listed.

DNB stands for Diplomate in National Board.
MS is Master of Surgery
MS is offered in all Medical Council of India recognized colleges/hospitals. Usually entrance is via a competitive test. Is far more common than DNB. Many will consider MS degree as superior.
DNB is offered in large private hospitals and training is somewhat like the practice-based model seen in western countries. After a few years the trainee takes a series of tests which apparently are much tougher to clear than MS exams.
You must understand there is no standard source to get this information and these are my personal views based on experience.
