Hi, does any of these classes count as research? Also I'm a little confused when it says 9 hours of conference and independant work;3 credits each term. Does that mean I need to take 3 semesters of each research class?

You should schedule a meeting with your advisor and talk to him/her about this. Your advisor can answer these course/college specific questions better than we can.

Yes, you could list that in experience as "research".
I was a bit confused by 9 hours of conferences and independent work for 3 credits.... What I think it means is that you will put in at least 9 hours per week but earn 3 credits rather than the typical 3 hour class for 3 credits. On the other hand, there generally isn't homework in a research project so they expect that it is equivalent to a 3 hour class plus homework.

Ask your advisor if you can take 5001 more than once; 5001 is a pre-req for 5010 which culminates in a thesis.
