Do most psychiatry residency programs require DOs to take the USMLE in order to apply? Does it vary by program?

    Thanks!

You need to call program directors directly and ask. Don't speak to the secretary (who usually doesn't know the details of these things, but ask to speak to the program director him- or herself. Just say, "Hi, I'm an osteopathic medical student interested in your psychiatry program and would like to know if your program accepts osteopathic board scores (the COMLEX) in lieu of the USMLE." I think that you'll find that most in fact do accept them.
