Had a debate with a friend over whether or not expired MCAT scores still mean anything to adcoms. To summarize, we could not agree on how adcoms might view the following 2 cases:
1. A person bombs the test (let's say they get a ~15). They decide med school isn't for them, go get an MPH, work for a few years, then decide to take the MCAT again after their score has expired.
2. A person does well (lets say they get a 35). But they can't apply due to finances/health problems/family obligations. After getting everything in order they have to take the test again to apply because their old score is expired.
Now, I am aware that adcoms can see expired MCAT scores (according to various sources). But I am wondering how these expired tests are viewed.
Thanks.
