Do graduate bio grades count in your BCPM gpa?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yeah, well when I did mine it was calculated into a "supplemental" category...so mine read as follows: BCMP, AO, Supp.
So all my courses taken post-college were lumped into the suppl category and i didnt see a change in the BCMP from UG.

Spin😀

i'm fairly certain they do not. they calculate undergrad and graduate gpa's separately, though they do have a bcpm designation for graduate. unless they sneak these grades into the undergrad section too (doubtful but possible i suppose, i don't think so, though, b/c my ugrad bcpm gpa would have probably been higher than it turned out if they did), then the answer is no. i'm too lazy to do the calculations myself but am fairly certain they are only counted in graduate work.

It really depends on what's your student status when you took those graduate bio courses. If you took them in your undergrad or as a post-baac, they count for your undergrad BCPM GPA. If you took those graduate bio courses as a grad student, they count for your graduate BCPM GPA.

Also, upper division bio courses taken as a grad student count for your graduate BCPM GPA. I looked up all this stuff before on AMCAS web site so I'm pretty sure this is right. You can also double check it if you want.

Hope this helps.

Does anyone know how they count JC courses taken while doing ur undergrad? I was thinking about taking some JC courses this summer while I was at home? Will AMCAS factor these into ur BCMP GPA?

Yup (if you mean science courses), they will count for your undergrad BCPM GPA and will be placed during whichever year you took them (ie. sophomore, etc.)
