: only took one semester worth - 9 units at uc berkeley extension: 4.0
--> immunology
--> medicinal microbiology
--> exercise physiology

I graduated in 7 years because I worked full time or part time throughout undergrad. I got married when I was 18 years old (huge mistake) and later got a divorce in undergrad. Also took a year off during undergrad after my divorce and finding out about my fathers chronic illness around the same time.

Age: 26

ec:
road to recovery driver 100 hrs over 1 yr
BPSHI student run clinic volunteer: 180 hrs over 2 yrs
Imani clinic volunteer 48 hrs over 3 months
MIND institute volunteer: 96 hrs over 6 months
shadowing: 2 weeks with a primary care physician (DO)

work experience:
- administrative assistant for a transportation company (started right after getting married): 8 yrs
- waiter at a restaurant (part time for 1 yr during undergrad)

any advice is appreciated. Thank you for your time :)

As long as your essays are decent, and you apply broadly .... I believe you'll end up with a few IIs!

GPA is a little light. CARS is 123. MCAT is in the range. If your app is good, and hit the interview well, you are in the hunt. Good luck and best wishes

You are in the hunt. I know people at my school with lower stats that got in. So as long as you can nail the interview, sell your story, youll get in somewhere. Making AdCom relationships wouldnt hurt as a means to show interest.

Good luck. Hope your father is well.

Chances of getting accepted are 100% on you.

Chances of getting IIs, including my school, are very good.
