I am debating whether I should send in my app for SGU with my current stats... I was told that they are still taking apps for the fall semester.
I have 3.4 GPA from Florida State University and I got a whopping 20 on my MCAT. yeehaa!
On the other hand, I do have loads of medical work experience-years of working clinical in PT office, home physical therapy aide for M.S. patient, health insurance company, etc. all while in school- also have stellar rec letters, coauthor for research publication, and crazy amounts of volunteering, EC activities. I am currently studying to retake the MCAT since my score was below what I was getting on practice tests (24-27 range). But I really want to get back in school asap rather than wait another year! (The original plan was DO school here in the states...)
Do you guys think i should try for SGU for the fall or suck it up and retake that test? Your input would be greatly appreciated.

You'd probably get into SGU. But if you are in your 20's why not take another year and try to get into the US schools?

If you don't get in a second time I would definitely go to SGU or DO if you have your heart set on a career in medicine.
