I am a junior (undergrad), due to some medical reasons it has been extremely difficult to stay focus in school (not that dental schools will care). My current GPA is about 2.5, and it was even lower last semester. I got all A's this semester so that is what brought it up to a 2.5. Next semester I will be a senior and even if I make all A's from now on, do I have a chance? My Freshman and Sophomore year I have failed a few classes and got mostly D's and C's. I retook those and got a higher grade the second time, but since dental schools will average out the two grade, I don't know if that will be enough. Even with a high DAT score, that won't be enough to gain interviews because most schools will automatically drop my application due to low GPA?
