Hi, I’m from Puerto Rico and I would like to apply to the medical school in the island. My GPA is 3.3 and my MCAT is 510. I’ve been a Medic in the Army for the last 7 years. Also, I did research for the last three years. I was able to present my investigation and got a publication. Those are my strong points. Do I have a chance to get into medical school? I’m worried that I don’t have a good gpa and that I have a couple Cs in my requisite for med school (Orgo). My school is in Trimester and between my job, research, and military service it’s been hard to do well in those classes. Any Advice would be great. Thanks for reading.
You are an excellent candidate for any school in Puerto Rico. Your MCAT is at or above the 90th percentile for all schools and your gpa is in range.
