Hey all,
So I am in a little bit of a dilemma. I am not sure what to do in my current state, so I will just throw out what I got going and I would appreciate some input from anyone.
Graduated from state school in 3 1/2 years, with cGPA - 3.55, sGPA - 3.37 with a pretty steep upward trend with 4.o's my last couple semesters. I did a study abroad program in Australia during undergrad. I have about 500 non clinical volunteer hours and just over 200 clinical volunteer hours. I have shadowing experience in about 7 different specialties added up to around 200 hours in total. I worked all throughout high school and college and am currently a medical scribe with about 1500 hours under my belt and am also chief scribe. I have 3 strong LORs and 2 pretty average LORs. I have taken the MCAT twice with not very good results either time (492/502). I am an Indiana resident.
With that being said would any MD schools even look at me? How about DO? Any advice would be helpful even if it is a harsh truth. My app is ready to go just wondering if it's worth it to apply or not. And if I do apply any suggestions on some schools to try. If you say wait until next year what would you suggest I do in the meantime? Thanks in advance!
