Do I need Primary Care Shadowing Hours if I volunteered at a Family Practice Center?

Long time lurker but made an account bc I couldn't really find a thread about this.

I only have speciality shadowing hours but I have hundreds of volunteer hours at a family practice facility. The family practice doctor there is one of my letter writers and I frequently worked closely with him during my shifts. I know conventional wisdom is to make sure my shadowing hours are dedicated to primary care but since I had so much experience, I figured to observed other specialities. Please let me know! I'm trying to stay as competitive as possible for T-20 schools

That would seem to cover it for me.

I think that the concern is more often when someone's clinical experience is entirely in the emergency department, for example, and the shadowing is all surgical specialties. Your situation is far different.
