You don't have to disclose anything. You can write - Dental office, no further explanations. If they ask for references, give names of your friends

I would, they’ll ask you what you did during that time. I think they’d prefer you’re honest with them, they’ll understand (after all, lots of people leave DSOs early for a lot of reasons)
Do you think a potential employer would notice a 2 month gap? That's really not that long of a time. I would imagine you could just leave it out and it wouldn't be noticed.
