Hi everyone,
I am working on the application for 2004. Do I need to list courses I took more than 10 years ago?
Thank you.

why wouldn't you? you took them...i would think you do... i don't know for sure but i recall someone in my class (who's 40) applying and having to put all his undergrad courses.....

I graduated from college 5 yrs ago. And I had some ESL classes took in 1990. Still had to put them in.

Degrees and courseworks do not expire after 10 years. Especially in courses that you have C, D AND F. Admissions officers love to address and go over those items with you when they interview you.

However, letters of rec are good for 2 years. Guys, go get your new letters. And use the letter service (even if u have to go through hell to get those ppl send out your letters). It looks more legit that way. I think school prefers those craps. Especially when you waived your rights looking at those letters.

Good luck class of 2008

I think it is impossible for the adcom or the application service to know what classes you took if you don't list them in the application.

If you had few classes that you took 10 years ago and listing them does not help to boot your GPA and why bother to list them anyway. The application service does not have a computer network to check every college in the country to find out whether you went there or not.

I think it's kinda obvious that they'll find out, because it's listed in your current school's transcript shown as "TR".
Well, if it's not, then yeah, it's impossible for them to find out.

if they find out, they can retract their acceptance....or even kick you out of school if you've already started... don't know if that's a risk you'll want to take

Thanks all... The reason I asked that I heard courses over 10 years will be deleted. the Texas dental schools have this policy. I think they call "Refresh Start". Courses over 10 years will be deleted from application, so I think most schools will do the same.
Thanks.
