Tell us more...

Will you have a degree?

PCAT score?

Extracurriculars?

Pharmacy Experience?

Where do you plan on applying?

Hi

I think if your GPA around 3.1, then you need to make up for that by work in the pharmacy, volunteer , etc...

Good luck

I think it's sure worth a try. I only had a 3.1 cGPA as well, but my science GPA was a 3.4 and I just got accepted to UB...however, I did pretty well on the PCAT with a 92 and I have 10 years pharmacology research experience. Good luck!

Grades can be offset with good pharmacy experience, volunteer, good pcat scores, and good letters of recommendation.

I think you can do it.....

If a school's average is 3.4, then roughly one 3.7 student is balanced out by a 3.1. Of course, that's a rough analysis but the point is that you have a viable GPA that is above the 3.0 de facto minimum. Like others have mentioned, the rest of your application plays a role too and stellar qualities there can make up for a below average GPA.

Don't worry about GPA TOO much.. I've been accepted to a couple schools and my cumulative is only 3.08. Do you have reasons for why your gpa is on the lower end? Were you working full-time? Family? Lots of ECs? Have you matured & learned? ('Cause I sure have) Some things to think about.. It's not hopeless at all. ;)
