Hello everyone,

I had a question about tuition for New York State schools (such as the SUNYs, Einstein, Stony Brook, NYMC). I have heard conflicting things online, so does anyone know if they allow students to claim in-state tuition for M2 and onwards? If they do, can someone explain how that makes sense, because I used to think they said that staying in a state for one year as a student (which you would be as a M1) doesn't mean you're a state resident.

Thanks for any insight!

Hey Hippopotamus, I am 99% sure only the SUNYs have in-state tuition, so if you're considering any non-SUNY (so not downstate, stony brook, upstate, buffalo) there's one sticker price. Good luck and congrats on the A!
