sGPA: 3.90 cGPA: 3.82
MCAT: 503 - 127/125/125/126
I am not retaking for the time being! I know it is lethal for MD... But I am interested in DO
EC:
Plenty of DO and MD shadowing/ plenty of hospital volunteering/ research in two laboratories for over a year/ non-clinical volunteer for 100+ hours/ compelling story rooted in creativity that shows leadership (3000+ hours)/ I build guitars from scratch as a luthier/ paid work experience since 16/ awesome LORs from distinguished faculty and a DO I know well
Demographics: White male from small town but go to top 20 research institution

A urban area is pretty important to me and ideally I would like to go somewhere with great rotations but don't we all...

Consider adding PCOM-GA. Its about a 30 minute drive from downtown Atlanta. They offer research but also you can get involved with research at Emory, GSU, and Ga-tech if you want to.

You're good to go. Only a few DO schools have regional biases.

You should apply to your regional and state MD schools as well. A 503 isn't quite a kiss of death for MD. Your GPA will get you love from a lot of DO schools and will probably have a few to pick from at the end of the cycle.
