I interviewed at two schools recently. One school encouraged me to call to find out the final decision if we didn't want to wait for the letter. Is this how all medical schools work?
The second one, I called up to find out my status and the secretary said that a decision has been made and the letter should be received by this weekend. When I asked her what the decision was, she replied that they could not give that info over the phone.
I'm guessing I got rejected at the second school- it's easier to tell somebody that they got in vs. telling them they got rejected. I don't see why a school would not tell an applicant that they were accepted.
