Do they tell us when we are put on hold?

I noticed that I never recieved emails from some schools that had put me on hold (pre-interview); the only way I found out was by checking the status page. Have you guys noticed the same thing?

Also, do all schools notify you in some way (i.e status page update, email, etc) when you are placed on hold, or do you just not hear from them for about six months until they decide to either kill you off or invite you in?

I dunno about other schools, but I called GWU today and found out I was on hold for the first time. No email notification, nothing.

Does a hold at a place like GWU pretty much mean a rejection?

Ha, I don't know, but it sounds like I'm probably on hold there as well.

yeah who knows. Now that I'm in at Wayne I'd have a hard time picking MSU, but still every interview feels good no matter where you get it.
