Do UK schools require an OAT

I was looking up entry requirements at Manchester U and Cardiff U and it seems like neither of these schools require the OAT. Does anyone know more about why not?

i always thought OAT were a "US" thing...i doubt foreign schools would require it..and plus...isnt optometry a BACHELORS degree in the UK? its a doctorate in the US.
